These handmade hemp-lime garden benches feature a very dense mix that hardens into what feels like “hemp stone.” It’s tough, bears weight and resists the elements thanks to the incredible reaction between the hemp hurds, lime/mineral/pozzolan binder and fine aggregate. The seat is 21″ wide x 44″ long x 3-1/2″ thick. Each leg is also massively dense at 21″ L x 16″ H x 9″ D.
This beauty does not sway in the wind!
Hand finished with a beeswax-based polish that we make from scratch. This polish gives hempcrete a warm glow, smooth sheen and extra protection against the elements. You’ll see water bead up and run right off the bench.
Note: Bench ships in 3 pieces. The dimensions shown below (44″ x 21″ x 3.5″) are for the seat slab. Each leg of the two legs are approximately 21″ x 16″ x 9″. This is a heavy bench and requires two or more people to move and assemble.
