Designed in the style of classic Concrete Masonry Units (CMUs), the Hemp CMU Block features:

• 2,000+ PSI compressive strength
• standard 8x8x16 (nominal) size for 3/8″ mortar joints
• hollow cores that may be filled with concrete
• thicker-than-average sidewalls are 2″ thick, giving you more block with less concrete needed to fill the cores
• rebar notches for placing horizontal reinforcement
• easy handling
• endless practical uses such as building walls for shops, studios, raised garden beds, decorative walls, seat walls, homes, guest houses, ADUs, and more!

Hemp CMU blocks are simply laid onto a mortar bed of American Hydraulic Lime and sand, allowing for quick installation using tried-and-true building methods. This also means the project can be completed by masons, laborers, handymen or even the weekend DIY’er alike.
